The Old Times Guest House is a family run establishment, previously The Lions Head Public House.  The building was refurbished & modernised as a Guest House and has been open since November 2012.  Offering a home from home experience.  A safe clean Guest house with CCTV in operation and very friendly attentive staff.

Comfortable accommodation comprising of Twin, Double & Family rooms which can accommodate a family of 4, a family of 3 and or 3 single beds for contractors.

All 8 rooms have en suite bathrooms inc. double shower, vanity unit with wash hand basin & wc, remote Free TV, Wi-Fi, tea & coffee making facilities, clothes hanging space, towels & hairdryers.  1 room Kathleen’s has a bath with power shower over head and shower screen. Free parking subject to availability at the front and the back of the property.

We have two Breakfast offers: a Self Service Toast; Cereal; Tea & Coffee, Fruit, Yogurt & Fruit Juice, costing just £6 per person, Or all the above including breakfast items cooked to order at a cost of £10.00 per person.

We no longer offer evening meals as demand was not enough to make it viable. However we do have The old Times Pub on Spring Road 5 minutes walk up the road, you are welcome to take food in as the area surrounding the pub has plenty of take aways to choose from.

The OTGH offers Dog Friendly Rooms (£15 per dog per stay) Function Room, Catering for bespoke family gatherings/celebrations, room hire for clubs, social groups or events subject to availability please contact Kelly 01473 726902

  1. Hello we have booked a double room in June 7th and 8th. Can you tell us do you have a car park? My husband has a blue badge for parking, he can walk but not long distances so we need to be able to park closeby. Thanks for your help
